👩‍🍳 How to make Rice Semolina Upma

  1. Toast grains (2 mins, medium): Heat 1 tbsp ghee, add semolina and rice flour. Toast 1-2 mins, stirring, until light golden and fragrant.
  2. Set aside (1 min, room temp): Remove to plate.
  3. Heat remaining ghee (1 min, high): Add 2 tbsp ghee.
  4. Temper and cook (1 min, high): Add cumin seeds, asafoetida. Cook onions 1.5 mins, add ginger-garlic paste and chillies.
  5. Add vegetables (2 mins, medium): Add carrots and peas, stir 1-2 mins.
  6. Add water (2 mins, high): Pour water, bring to boil.
  7. Add toasted grains (1 min, high): Sprinkle toasted mixture slowly while stirring vigorously.
