👩‍🍳 How to make Labra

  1. Heat mustard oil in a large pan over medium-high heat (160°C).
  2. Temper nigella seeds for 20 seconds until they crackle.
  3. Add green chillies, cook for 10 seconds.
  4. Add potatoes and carrots, stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add turmeric and salt, mix thoroughly.
  6. Add water, bring to boil.
  7. Add cabbage and ridge gourd. Reduce heat to medium (120°C).
  8. Cover partially and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. All vegetables should be tender but retain slight firmness (not mushy).
  10. Uncover and cook for 2 more minutes to reduce excess liquid if needed.
  11. Serve hot with rice and dal.
