👩🍳 How to make Katla Macher Paturi
- Mix mustard paste, coconut, green chillies, ginger, turmeric, salt, and mustard oil.
- Soften banana leaves over flame for 2-3 seconds per side.
- Place fish fillet in center of each leaf.
- Spread mustard-coconut paste over each fillet (about 2.5 tbsp).
- Fold banana leaf to encase fish completely.
- Secure with toothpicks or banana leaf ties.
- Steam in steamer basket over boiling water for 18 minutes over medium heat (100°C).
- Fish should be opaque and flaking when tested.
- Remove packets carefully and open.
- Serve hot with steamed rice and dal.
