👩‍🍳 How to make Chanar Dalna

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat (140°C).
  2. Temper cumin seeds and nigella seeds for 20 seconds until crackling.
  3. Add green chillies and ginger, cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add potato slices, stir gently for 2 minutes to coat with oil.
  5. Add turmeric and salt, mix well.
  6. Add water, bring to boil. Reduce to medium-low (100°C).
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes until potatoes are nearly cooked and translucent at edges.
  8. Gently add cottage cheese cubes, avoiding breaking them.
  9. Simmer for 5 more minutes until cheese is heated through.
  10. The gravy should be light and abundant. Serve hot with rice.
