🧺 Ingredients
👩🍳 How to make Pasanda
- Heat ghee in heavy pot at medium-high
- Add sliced onions, fry 6-7 minutes until deep golden
- Remove 30g for garnish
- Add meat to remaining onions, cook 4-5 minutes to seal
- Add ginger-garlic paste, cook 1 minute
- Add all whole spices, stir 15 seconds
- Add ground spices, stir 20 seconds
- Add yogurt in 2-3 portions, stirring well
- Add grated coconut, cook 2 minutes
- Add 300ml water, bring to boil
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 35-40 minutes
- Meat should be 80% cooked
- Add cashew paste, tamarind paste, sugar
- Stir well, cook 10-15 minutes more
- Add coconut milk, stir gently
- Simmer 5 minutes more without boiling
