🧺 Ingredients

👩‍🍳 How to make Pasanda

  1. Heat ghee in heavy pot at medium-high
  2. Add sliced onions, fry 6-7 minutes until deep golden
  3. Remove 30g for garnish
  4. Add meat to remaining onions, cook 4-5 minutes to seal
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste, cook 1 minute
  6. Add all whole spices, stir 15 seconds
  7. Add ground spices, stir 20 seconds
  8. Add yogurt in 2-3 portions, stirring well
  9. Add grated coconut, cook 2 minutes
  10. Add 300ml water, bring to boil
  11. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 35-40 minutes
  12. Meat should be 80% cooked
  13. Add cashew paste, tamarind paste, sugar
  14. Stir well, cook 10-15 minutes more
  15. Add coconut milk, stir gently
  16. Simmer 5 minutes more without boiling
