  1. Combine all-purpose flour, rice flour, turmeric, garam masala, black pepper, cumin seeds, and salt in bowl.
  2. Add onion, green chillies, and coriander.
  3. Add water gradually; mix to thick batter (should coat pumpkin pieces).
  4. Add pumpkin pieces; coat thoroughly with batter.
  5. Heat oil in pan to medium-high temperature.
  6. Carefully drop battered pumpkin pieces into hot oil (one at a time).
  7. Fry 3–4 minutes per batch, turning occasionally until golden brown.
  8. Remove with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels.
  9. Serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
