👩‍🍳 How to make Millets Porridge

  1. Rinse millets under running water 3 times; drain thoroughly.
  2. Heat ghee in heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
  3. Add millets; toast 2 minutes while stirring constantly (releases aroma, prevents clumping).
  4. Pour water; bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce to low heat; cover partially and simmer 15 minutes until grains are soft (stir occasionally).
  6. When grains are tender, pour milk; add jaggery and cardamom powder.
  7. Simmer 2 more minutes, stirring gently until jaggery dissolves and porridge thickens.
  8. Add salt; taste and adjust sweetness.
  9. Serve warm, immediately after cooking.
