- Pressure cook soaked lentils with kidney beans, water, turmeric, salt, 8 whistles (16 min).
- Release, mash some lentils with spoon (partial crush, keep texture).
- In separate pot, heat ghee, cook fried onions, ginger-garlic 3 min.
- Add tomato purée, cook 5 min.
- Add red chili, coriander, garam masala, cook 2 min.
- Add mashed lentils, water if needed for consistency, simmer 15 min.
- Add cream, butter, kasuri methi, simmer 10 min more.
- Taste: creamy, tomato tangy, kasuri methi herbal, rich.
