👩‍🍳 How to make Tandoori Roti & Butter

  1. Mix flour and salt
  2. Add water gradually, knead into soft elastic dough (consistency: soft like earlobe)
  3. Knead for 5 minutes, add oil, knead 2 more minutes
  4. Rest dough covered for 30 minutes at room temperature
  5. Divide into 8 balls
  6. Roll each ball into 20cm circle on floured surface
  7. Heat tava/griddle to 200°C
  8. Place dough circle on hot tava
  9. Cook 15 seconds, flip
  10. Cook 15 seconds, press gently with cloth, bubbles should form
  11. Flip again, cook 10 seconds
  12. Visual: light brown spots, puffed surface
  13. Brush with ghee, serve hot
  14. Aroma: toasted wheat, ghee
