👩‍🍳 How to make Moong Dal Samosa

  1. Prepare dough (10 mins): Make samosa dough, rest 25 mins.
  2. Make filling (5 mins): Heat 1 tbsp ghee, add cumin seeds (30 secs crackling). Add onion, fry 2 mins golden. Add ginger, green chilies, fry 1 min. Add spices, dal, mix well. Cool 5 mins.
  3. Assemble (15 mins): Roll, cut, form cones, fill with 1 tbsp dal mix, seal tightly.
  4. Fry (15 mins, low-medium heat): Oil 325°F. Fry 5 at time, 10-12 mins low heat, then 2-3 mins medium heat until golden crisp.
