👩🍳 How to make Moong Dal Halwa
- Soak & roast moong (8 mins): Soak moong lentils in water 5 mins. Drain. Heat 3 tbsp ghee in pan, add drained moong, roast on medium-low heat 5-6 mins, stirring. Moong should be light golden, aromatic. Cool 1 min.
- Add water (10 mins, medium heat): Carefully add 1 cup water (will splutter). Stir immediately. Simmer on medium heat 8-10 mins, stirring occasionally—moong should soften, absorb water.
- Add sugar & finish (2 mins, medium heat): Add ½ cup sugar, stir 1 min. Fold in cashews, raisins, cardamom, salt.
- Serve: Transfer warm halwa to bowl.
