  1. Pressure cook soaked moong dal with water, 5-6 whistles
  2. Let pressure release naturally
  3. Heat oil to 170°C, add cumin seeds, cook 20 seconds
  4. Add onion, fry 3 minutes until translucent
  5. Add ginger-garlic, cook 2 minutes
  6. Add tomato puree, cook 4 minutes on medium heat
  7. Add cooked dal with liquid
  8. Add turmeric, chili, coriander, salt
  9. Simmer 10 minutes on low heat (150°C) until smooth
  10. Visual: creamy golden curry; Aroma: warm spices
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and green chiles
  12. Serve with rice or bread
