📖 Cultural notes

|---|---|---|---|---| | 320 kcal | 18g | 44g | 8g | 12g | Langar is the community kitchen of Sikh Gurudwaras, where free meals are served to over 50,000 people daily at the Golden Temple alone. The tradition was started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji to break caste barriers — everyone sits on the floor together and eats the same food. Dal + Roti is the cornerstone of langar, and volunteers cook and serve as a form of seva (selfless service). ---
