- Heat ghee (1 min, low-medium heat): Melt ghee in heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add semolina (7-8 mins, low-medium heat): Add semolina and cashews, stir continuously so grains do not stick. Continue until ghee separates from grains and cashews turn golden (approximately 7-8 minutes, watch carefully).
- Add aromatics (1 min, low heat): Mix in cardamom powder, raisins, chironji, camphor.
- Prepare syrup (2 mins, medium heat on separate burner): Boil sugar and water together on separate burner until bubbling (approximately 2-3 minutes).
- Combine slowly (2 mins, low heat): Pour boiling sugar syrup slowly into semolina mixture while stirring continuously. Mixture will splutter—stir carefully and thoroughly.
- Rest (2 mins, room temp): Remove from heat, let cool slightly in pan.
