👩🍳 How to make Ven Pongal
- Soak rice + moong dal 30 mins
- Cook together in salt water until soft grains (20 mins)
- Crush pepper + cumin coarsely
- Heat oil, fry cashews golden (2 mins)
- Add ginger slices + green chili + curry leaves
- Stir 1 min until fragrant
- Add cooked rice + dal mixture, fold gently 2 mins
- Sprinkle pepper-cumin, fold again
- Transfer to plate, serve immediately with ghee
