  1. Soak rice + moong dal 30 mins
  2. Cook together in salt water until soft grains (20 mins)
  3. Crush pepper + cumin coarsely
  4. Heat oil, fry cashews golden (2 mins)
  5. Add ginger slices + green chili + curry leaves
  6. Stir 1 min until fragrant
  7. Add cooked rice + dal mixture, fold gently 2 mins
  8. Sprinkle pepper-cumin, fold again
  9. Transfer to plate, serve immediately with ghee
