👩🍳 How to make Sakkarai Pongal
- Cook rice + moong dal + salt in water until soft grains (20 mins)
- Heat ghee, fry cashews until golden (2 mins)
- Add raisins, fry 1 min
- Add cooked rice + dal to ghee
- Crush jaggery into small bits, add to rice
- Fold continuously over low heat 3 mins
- Jaggery melts, rice gains golden gloss
- Add cardamom
- Serve warm
- Sweet sticky pongal, nutty-caramel aroma
