- Boil water with salt
- Heat oil, add ginger-garlic
- Add onion, fry until soft (2 mins)
- Add turmeric + chili powder, fry 1 min (roasted aroma)
- Pour boiling water carefully

- Simmer 2 mins
- Taste for salt/spice, adjust
- Place puttu slices in bowl
