  1. Wash rice + moong dal together
  2. Heat ghee, add cumin + black pepper (toasted aroma 30 secs)
  3. Add ginger, fry 1 min
  4. Add rice + dal, toss 2 mins
  5. Pour water + salt
  6. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to low
  7. Cover, cook 15 mins until porridge consistency
  8. Stir gently, add curry leaves
  9. Fold in more ghee if desired
  10. Serve hot, creamy texture with nutty aroma
