- Soak rice 2 hours
- Grind with coconut to fine batter
- Add salt, add water gradually for flowing consistency
- Heat idiyappam maker (press mold) in hot water 2 mins
- Oil mold lightly
- Boil water in large pot
- Load batter into mold chamber
- Press mold to extrude stringy noodles into boiling water
- Strings sink, then float in 1 min
- Remove with slotted spoon
