- Marinate fish with turmeric + salt 10 mins
- Shallow fry fish in 10ml oil 2 mins per side, set aside
- Heat 15ml oil, add onion, fry until golden (3 mins)
- Add chili powder + roasted coriander, fry 1 min (roasted aroma)
- Add poppy seed paste, cook 2 mins
- Pour coconut milk slowly, stir continuously
- Add tamarind + curry leaves + salt
- Simmer 8 mins until sauce coats spoon
- Add fried fish, simmer 5 mins more
- Serve curry over steamed white rice with sambhar on side
