  1. Marinate fish with turmeric + salt 10 mins
  2. Shallow fry fish in 10ml oil 2 mins per side, set aside
  3. Heat 15ml oil, add onion, fry until golden (3 mins)
  4. Add chili powder + roasted coriander, fry 1 min (roasted aroma)
  5. Add poppy seed paste, cook 2 mins
  6. Pour coconut milk slowly, stir continuously
  7. Add tamarind + curry leaves + salt
  8. Simmer 8 mins until sauce coats spoon
  9. Add fried fish, simmer 5 mins more
  10. Serve curry over steamed white rice with sambhar on side
