- Roast rice + moong dal together in dry pan 3 mins until nutty
- Heat ghee
- Add roasted rice + dal, stir 2 mins
- Pour water + salt
- Bring to boil, simmer 12 mins until grain soft + creamy
- Gently stir in crushed jaggery
- Add coconut + cardamom
- Simmer 2 mins more
- Serve warm
