👩🍳 How to make Sooji Upma
- Boil water in pot (5 minutes, rolling boil)
- Heat mustard oil in separate pan over medium heat (40 seconds)
- Add mustard seeds, let crackle (15 seconds)
- Add cumin seeds, stir (10 seconds)
- Add curry leaves, fry (5 seconds)
- Add minced onion, fry until light golden (2�3 minutes)
- Add minced green chillies, fry (20 seconds)
- Add turmeric, fry (10 seconds)
- Reduce heat to low
- Sprinkle semolina slowly while stirring constantly to prevent lumps (take 2�3 minutes to add all)
- Gradually add hot water in portions while stirring (add 100ml at a time)
- Continue stirring until all water is absorbed and mixture is light and fluffy (6�8 minutes total)
- Add salt, mix well
- Grains should be separated
