👩‍🍳 How to make Sooji Upma

  1. Boil water in pot (5 minutes, rolling boil)
  2. Heat mustard oil in separate pan over medium heat (40 seconds)
  3. Add mustard seeds, let crackle (15 seconds)
  4. Add cumin seeds, stir (10 seconds)
  5. Add curry leaves, fry (5 seconds)
  6. Add minced onion, fry until light golden (2�3 minutes)
  7. Add minced green chillies, fry (20 seconds)
  8. Add turmeric, fry (10 seconds)
  9. Reduce heat to low
  10. Sprinkle semolina slowly while stirring constantly to prevent lumps (take 2�3 minutes to add all)
  11. Gradually add hot water in portions while stirring (add 100ml at a time)
  12. Continue stirring until all water is absorbed and mixture is light and fluffy (6�8 minutes total)
  13. Add salt, mix well
