👩‍🍳 How to make Khichdi

  1. Soak rice and moong dal for 15 minutes, drain
  2. Heat ghee in pot over medium heat (30 seconds)
  3. Add cumin seeds, let crackle (10 seconds)
  4. Add sliced green chillies, fry (20 seconds)
  5. Add soaked rice and moong dal, mix to coat with ghee (1 minute)
  6. Add turmeric, stir (20 seconds)
  7. Add water and salt
  8. Bring to boil, then reduce heat to low
  9. Cover, simmer for 15�18 minutes until rice and dal are soft and water is absorbed
  10. Grains should be cooked through but retain shape
  11. Fluff with fork, serve hot
