👩‍🍳 How to make Chaula Bara

  1. Drain soaked rice and urad dal completely
  2. Grind together to coarse paste (1 minute grinding, should have tiny granules visible)
  3. Add minced green chillies, turmeric, salt
  4. Mix by hand until combined (30 seconds)
  5. Heat mustard oil in deep frying pan over medium-high heat (170�C, test: small batter piece should sizzle and rise immediately)
  6. Wet hands, take 2 tbsp batter, shape into 2-inch ball between palms
  7. Carefully drop into hot oil
  8. Fry for 2�3 minutes total, turning once halfway with slotted spoon
  9. Color should be deep golden-brown and oil should stop bubbling (sign of moisture release complete)
  10. Remove with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels
