👩🍳 How to make Chaula Bara
- Drain soaked rice and urad dal completely
- Grind together to coarse paste (1 minute grinding, should have tiny granules visible)
- Add minced green chillies, turmeric, salt
- Mix by hand until combined (30 seconds)
- Heat mustard oil in deep frying pan over medium-high heat (170�C, test: small batter piece should sizzle and rise immediately)
- Wet hands, take 2 tbsp batter, shape into 2-inch ball between palms
- Carefully drop into hot oil
- Fry for 2�3 minutes total, turning once halfway with slotted spoon
- Color should be deep golden-brown and oil should stop bubbling (sign of moisture release complete)
- Remove with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels
