👩‍🍳 How to make Chakuli & Matar Tarkari

  1. (Tarkari):
  2. Pressure cook white peas with 400ml water and turmeric (1 whistle, 4 minutes), let pressure fall naturally
  3. Drain excess water, peas should be tender and split slightly
  4. Heat mustard oil in pan over medium heat (40 seconds)
  5. Add cumin seeds, let crackle (15 seconds)
  6. Add green chillies, stir (20 seconds)
  7. Add cooked peas, mix gently (1 minute)
  8. Check salt, add if needed
  9. Cook until peas soften further and flavors meld (2�3 minutes)
  10. Serve hot alongside Chakuli
