👩‍🍳 How to make Thaneibung

  1. Clean and wash leafy shoots thoroughly (1 min)
  2. Coarsely chop if shoots are large, leave small ones whole (1 min)
  3. Heat oil in pot over medium heat (1 min)
  4. Add minced garlic, sauté 30 seconds until fragrant
  5. Add grated ginger and chopped onion, cook 2 minutes until softened
  6. Add sliced green chilli
  7. Pour in water, bring to boil (3 min)
  8. Add salt, then add leafy shoots
  9. Simmer 8-10 minutes until shoots are completely tender
  10. If using ngari, crumble and stir in during last 2 minutes of cooking
  11. Serve hot in bowls
