👩🍳 How to make Tamarind Fish
- Soak tamarind in 50ml warm water 5 min, extract pulp (5 min)
- Pat fish dry (1 min)
- Heat oil in pan over medium (1 min)
- Add sliced ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add coarsely chopped onion, cook 2 minutes
- Add turmeric, stir (30 seconds)
- Add sliced green chilli
- Add water, salt (reserve tamarind pulp)
- Bring to boil (3 min)
- Gently add fish steaks
- Reduce heat to medium
- Simmer 8-10 minutes until fish is partially cooked
- Add tamarind pulp, stir gently
- Simmer 3-4 more minutes until fish is fully cooked
- Serve hot
