👩‍🍳 How to make Sumbal

  1. Heat oil in pan over medium (1 min)
  2. Add minced ginger, cook 1 minute
  3. Add finely diced onion, cook 2 minutes
  4. Add minced green chilli, cook 1 minute
  5. Add shrimp paste, break up and stir well (2 min)
  6. Pour water gradually while stirring
  7. Add salt sparingly (paste already contains salt)
  8. Bring to boil (2 min)
  9. Reduce heat to low
  10. Simmer 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally
  11. Add coriander
  12. Serve hot in small bowls (strong flavor, eaten in small portions)
