👩🍳 How to make Sumbal
- Heat oil in pan over medium (1 min)
- Add minced ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add finely diced onion, cook 2 minutes
- Add minced green chilli, cook 1 minute
- Add shrimp paste, break up and stir well (2 min)
- Pour water gradually while stirring
- Add salt sparingly (paste already contains salt)
- Bring to boil (2 min)
- Reduce heat to low
- Simmer 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Add coriander
- Serve hot in small bowls (strong flavor, eaten in small portions)
