👩🍳 How to make Spinach and Garlic Tan
- Wash and thoroughly dry spinach (moisture affects dough consistency) (2 min)
- Chop finely (1 min)
- Mix rice flour with salt (30 seconds)
- Add chopped spinach, minced garlic, grated ginger, minced chilli (1 min)
- Gradually add water to form soft dough (2 min)
- Knead gently with oiled palms (1 min)
- Divide into 4 equal portions
- On oiled board, flatten each to thin circle (4mm thick)
- Heat cast iron tawa to medium-high
- Place tan on hot tawa, cook 2-3 min until slight puffing visible at edges
- Drizzle oil, flip
- Cook other side 2-3 min until light golden
- Press gently with spatula to ensure thorough cooking
