- Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
- Add ragi flour, roast dry for 2 minutes (this removes raw taste and improves digestibility)
- Gradually add water while stirring constantly to prevent lumps (2 min)
- Add salt, ginger, cardamom
- Bring to boil (3 min)
- Reduce heat to low, simmer 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently
- Add jaggery, stir until dissolved
- Pour into cups, serve hot
