👩‍🍳 How to make Pumpkin and Moong Dal Porridge

  1. Peel and cut pumpkin into small cubes (1 min)
  2. Rinse moong dal (1 min)
  3. Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
  4. Add cumin seeds, let crackle 30 seconds
  5. Add asafoetida, swirl (10 seconds)
  6. Add grated ginger, cook 1 minute
  7. Add rinsed dal, stir 1 minute
  8. Add pumpkin cubes, stir (1 min)
  9. Pour water and salt
  10. Bring to boil (5 min)
  11. Reduce heat to low, cover
  12. Simmer 15-18 minutes, stirring occasionally
  13. When pumpkin is very soft and dal breaks down, add coriander
  14. Serve hot
