👩🍳 How to make Pumpkin and Moong Dal Porridge
- Peel and cut pumpkin into small cubes (1 min)
- Rinse moong dal (1 min)
- Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
- Add cumin seeds, let crackle 30 seconds
- Add asafoetida, swirl (10 seconds)
- Add grated ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add rinsed dal, stir 1 minute
- Add pumpkin cubes, stir (1 min)
- Pour water and salt
- Bring to boil (5 min)
- Reduce heat to low, cover
- Simmer 15-18 minutes, stirring occasionally
- When pumpkin is very soft and dal breaks down, add coriander
- Serve hot
