👩🍳 How to make Pal Payasam
- Toast saffron strands dry in pan 30 seconds, soak in 30ml warm milk (30 seconds)
- Heat ghee in pan over medium
- Add semolina, roast dry for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly (until light golden and fragrant)
- In another pan, bring milk to boil
- Gradually pour hot milk into toasted semolina while stirring constantly (to prevent lumps)
- Stir well and let it cook 5 minutes on medium heat
- Add condensed milk, stir well
- Reduce heat to low
- Simmer 8-10 minutes while stirring occasionally
- In separate pan, fry cashews and raisins in remaining ghee (1 min)
- Add saffron milk and soaked saffron strands
- Add cardamom powder
- Add fried nuts and raisins
- Stir gently
- Serve hot or warm
