👩‍🍳 How to make Pal Payasam

  1. Toast saffron strands dry in pan 30 seconds, soak in 30ml warm milk (30 seconds)
  2. Heat ghee in pan over medium
  3. Add semolina, roast dry for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly (until light golden and fragrant)
  4. In another pan, bring milk to boil
  5. Gradually pour hot milk into toasted semolina while stirring constantly (to prevent lumps)
  6. Stir well and let it cook 5 minutes on medium heat
  7. Add condensed milk, stir well
  8. Reduce heat to low
  9. Simmer 8-10 minutes while stirring occasionally
  10. In separate pan, fry cashews and raisins in remaining ghee (1 min)
  11. Add saffron milk and soaked saffron strands
  12. Add cardamom powder
  13. Add fried nuts and raisins
  14. Stir gently
  15. Serve hot or warm
