👩‍🍳 How to make Pal Burfi

  1. In heavy pan, heat ghee over medium
  2. Add milk powder and crumbled khoya
  3. Stir and cook 5 minutes (dry roast)
  4. Add jaggery, stir well
  5. Reduce heat to low
  6. Continue stirring frequently for 15-20 minutes as mixture darkens and thickens
  7. When it starts leaving oil on pan sides, it's done
  8. Add cardamom powder
  9. Add cashews and raisins (pre-fried in ghee if desired)
  10. Add nutmeg powder
  11. Mix well
  12. Transfer to greased plate immediately
  13. Press down firmly to compact
  14. Let cool completely
  15. Cut into squares
