  1. Grate beetroot finely (1 min)
  2. Mix besan with salt (1 min)
  3. Add grated beetroot, minced onion, chilli (1 min)
  4. Gradually add water (beetroot adds moisture) (1 min)
  5. Heat tawa to medium, oil surface
  6. Pour 85ml batter, flatten to 8mm
  7. Cook 6-7 min until burgundy-golden
  8. Drizzle oil, flip
  9. Cook 4-5 min until light golden
  10. Transfer to plate
