👩‍🍳 How to make Paknam

  1. Mix besan with turmeric powder and salt in a bowl (1 min)
  2. Add chopped onion, coriander, spring onion, garlic chives (2 min)
  3. Stir in dry red chilli powder (1 min)
  4. Add water gradually to form thick batter (pancake consistency) (2 min)
  5. Heat thick tawa (griddle) to medium heat, coat with oil
  6. Pour 120ml batter onto tawa center, flatten gently to 8mm thickness
  7. Spread with palm of hand (wet with water if batter sticks)
  8. Cook 6-7 min until bottom turns golden brown and edges lift easily
  9. Drizzle 5ml oil around edges, flip carefully
  10. Cook other side 4-5 min until golden (should be slightly crispy outside, soft inside)
