👩‍🍳 How to make Paan Thongba

  1. Wash colocasia leaves 3 times thoroughly, pat dry (2 min)
  2. Cut into rough 5cm pieces (1 min)
  3. Heat oil lightly in pot (1 min)
  4. Add grated ginger, cook 1 minute
  5. Add coarsely chopped onion, cook 2 minutes
  6. Add sliced green chilli
  7. Add colocasia leaf pieces, stir gently (1 min)
  8. Pour water, add salt
  9. Bring to boil (5 min)
  10. Add crumbled fermented fish
  11. Reduce heat to medium-low
  12. Simmer 12-15 minutes until leaves are very tender and break down
  13. Stir occasionally
  14. Serve hot in bowls
