🧺 Ingredients

👩‍🍳 How to make Paan Eromba

  1. Wash colocasia leaves and stems thoroughly 3 times (to remove any fine hairs) (3 min)
  2. Cut leaves and stems into rough 5cm pieces (2 min)
  3. Clean fermented fish, remove scales by gentle rubbing, rinse well (2 min)
  4. In pot, combine colocasia pieces, whole green chillies, coarsely chopped onion
  5. Add cleaned fermented fish pieces
  6. Pour water and add salt
  7. Bring to boil over medium heat (5 min)
  8. Add coarsely chopped tomatoes
  9. Reduce heat to medium-low
  10. Simmer 15-18 minutes until colocasia is completely tender and leaves break down
  11. Remove from heat, let cool 2 minutes
  12. Roughly mash mixture in pot using back of spoon or mash in separate bowl
  13. Texture should be chunky, not smooth
  14. Taste for salt, adjust if needed
  15. Serve warm
