👩🍳 How to make Paan Eromba
- Wash colocasia leaves and stems thoroughly 3 times (to remove any fine hairs) (3 min)
- Cut leaves and stems into rough 5cm pieces (2 min)
- Clean fermented fish, remove scales by gentle rubbing, rinse well (2 min)
- In pot, combine colocasia pieces, whole green chillies, coarsely chopped onion
- Add cleaned fermented fish pieces
- Pour water and add salt
- Bring to boil over medium heat (5 min)
- Add coarsely chopped tomatoes
- Reduce heat to medium-low
- Simmer 15-18 minutes until colocasia is completely tender and leaves break down
- Remove from heat, let cool 2 minutes
- Roughly mash mixture in pot using back of spoon or mash in separate bowl
- Texture should be chunky, not smooth
- Taste for salt, adjust if needed
- Serve warm
