👩‍🍳 How to make Manipuri Sadha Eromba

  1. Peel potatoes, cut into chunks (2 min)
  2. Clean fermented fish, gently scrub to remove scales, rinse thoroughly, drain (2 min)
  3. In pot, combine potatoes, whole green chillies, coarsely chopped onion
  4. Add cleaned fermented fish pieces
  5. Pour water, add salt
  6. Bring to boil over medium heat (5 min)
  7. Add coarsely chopped tomatoes
  8. Reduce heat to medium-low
  9. Simmer 12-15 minutes until potatoes are completely soft
  10. Cool slightly
  11. Transfer to mashing bowl
  12. Mash potatoes and fish mixture roughly (not smooth)
  13. Mash tomatoes and fish together into paste separately
  14. Combine both, fold gently
  15. Taste and adjust salt
  16. Serve warm with steamed rice
