👩🍳 How to make Manipuri Sadha Eromba
- Peel potatoes, cut into chunks (2 min)
- Clean fermented fish, gently scrub to remove scales, rinse thoroughly, drain (2 min)
- In pot, combine potatoes, whole green chillies, coarsely chopped onion
- Add cleaned fermented fish pieces
- Pour water, add salt
- Bring to boil over medium heat (5 min)
- Add coarsely chopped tomatoes
- Reduce heat to medium-low
- Simmer 12-15 minutes until potatoes are completely soft
- Cool slightly
- Transfer to mashing bowl
- Mash potatoes and fish mixture roughly (not smooth)
- Mash tomatoes and fish together into paste separately
- Combine both, fold gently
- Taste and adjust salt
- Serve warm with steamed rice
