👩🍳 How to make Lentil Breakfast Stew
- Rinse lentils thoroughly (1 min)
- Heat oil in pot over medium heat (1 min)
- Add cumin seeds, let crackle 30 seconds
- Add asafoetida, swirl (10 seconds)
- Add minced garlic (if adding), cook 30 seconds
- Add grated ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add finely diced onion, cook 2 minutes
- Add rinsed lentils, stir well (1 min)
- Pour water and salt
- Bring to boil (5 min)
- Add sliced green chilli
- Reduce heat to medium-low, simmer 12-15 minutes
- Stir occasionally (every 2-3 min)
- When lentils are completely soft and mixture is thick, add coriander
- Serve hot
