👩🍳 How to make Iromba
- Peel potatoes, cut into chunks (2 min)
- If using whole ngari, pound into fine powder with mortar (2 min)
- In pot, add potatoes, whole green chillies, coarsely chopped onion
- Add water and salt
- Bring to boil (5 min)
- Add chopped tomatoes
- Reduce heat to medium-low
- Simmer 12-15 minutes until potatoes are very soft
- Remove from heat
- Add pounded ngari, stir well
- Mash entire mixture to fine paste using potato masher
- Consistency should be thick and creamy, not completely smooth
- Taste for salt, adjust if needed
- Serve warm
