- If dried shrimp are hard, soak briefly 3 minutes, drain (3 min)
- Heat oil in pan over medium (1 min)
- Add sliced ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add coarsely chopped onion, cook 2 minutes
- Add sliced green chilli
- Add dried shrimp, stir (1 min)
- Add chopped tomatoes, cook 2 minutes
- Pour water, add salt
- Bring to boil (3 min)
- Reduce heat to medium-low
- Simmer 8-10 minutes
- Stir occasionally
- Serve hot
