👩‍🍳 How to make Gandei Thongba

  1. Peel ginger, slice thinly (2 min)
  2. Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
  3. Add minced garlic, cook 30 seconds
  4. Add thinly sliced ginger, cook 2 minutes (ginger begins to soften)
  5. Add coarsely chopped onion, cook 2 minutes
  6. Add turmeric, stir (30 seconds)
  7. Add sliced green chilli
  8. Pour water, add salt
  9. Bring to boil (5 min)
  10. Reduce heat to medium-low
  11. Simmer 10-12 minutes until ginger is very soft
  12. Stir occasionally
  13. Serve hot in bowls
