👩‍🍳 How to make Eromba

  1. Peel potatoes, cut into chunks (2 min)
  2. Clean fermented fish pieces, remove scales by scrubbing gently, rinse well in water, drain (2 min)
  3. Coarsely chop tomatoes (1 min)
  4. In a pot, combine potatoes, whole green chillies, coarsely chopped onion
  5. Add cleaned fermented fish pieces
  6. Pour water and add salt
  7. Bring to boil over medium heat (5 min)
  8. Add coarsely chopped tomatoes
  9. Reduce heat to low-medium
  10. Simmer 12-15 minutes until potatoes are completely soft
  11. Remove from heat and cool slightly
  12. In a bowl, mash potato and fish mixture roughly with potato masher (don't make it completely smooth, some texture should remain)
  13. Mash tomatoes and fish separately into fine paste
  14. Combine both, fold gently
  15. Add salt to taste
  16. Serve immediately while warm
