👩‍🍳 How to make Champhut

  1. Rinse rice (1 min)
  2. Dice vegetables finely (2 min)
  3. Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
  4. Add cumin seeds, crackle 30 seconds
  5. Add asafoetida, swirl (10 seconds)
  6. Add minced ginger, cook 1 minute
  7. Add finely diced onion, cook 2 minutes
  8. Add minced green chilli
  9. Add diced vegetables, stir (1 min)
  10. Add rinsed rice, stir 1 minute
  11. Pour water, add salt
  12. Bring to boil (5 min)
  13. Reduce heat to low, cover
  14. Simmer 15-18 minutes until rice is cooked and vegetables are tender
  15. Stir occasionally with fork to prevent sticking
  16. When water is absorbed and rice is fluffy, add coriander
  17. Serve hot
