👩🍳 How to make Champhut
- Rinse rice (1 min)
- Dice vegetables finely (2 min)
- Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
- Add cumin seeds, crackle 30 seconds
- Add asafoetida, swirl (10 seconds)
- Add minced ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add finely diced onion, cook 2 minutes
- Add minced green chilli
- Add diced vegetables, stir (1 min)
- Add rinsed rice, stir 1 minute
- Pour water, add salt
- Bring to boil (5 min)
- Reduce heat to low, cover
- Simmer 15-18 minutes until rice is cooked and vegetables are tender
- Stir occasionally with fork to prevent sticking
- When water is absorbed and rice is fluffy, add coriander
- Serve hot
