👩🍳 How to make Barley Breakfast Porridge
- Rinse barley (1 min)
- Heat oil in pot (1 min)
- Add cumin, crackle 30 seconds
- Add asafoetida, swirl (10 seconds)
- Add ginger, cook 1 minute
- Add diced onion, cook 2 minutes
- Add rinsed barley, stir 1 minute
- Pour water and salt
- Bring to boil (5 min)
- Add minced green chilli
- Reduce heat to low, cover
- Simmer 18-20 minutes, stirring occasionally
- When barley grains are very soft and porridge is thick, add coriander
- Serve hot
