  1. Peel potatoes, cube uniformly (2 min)
  2. Heat oil in pot over medium (1 min)
  3. Add minced garlic, cook 30 seconds
  4. Add sliced ginger, cook 1 minute
  5. Add coarsely chopped onion, cook 2 minutes
  6. Add turmeric, stir (30 seconds)
  7. Add chopped tomatoes, cook 2 minutes
  8. Add sliced green chilli
  9. Add cubed potatoes, stir gently (1 min)
  10. Pour water, add salt
  11. Bring to boil (5 min)
  12. Reduce heat to medium-low
  13. Simmer 12-15 minutes until potatoes are completely soft
  14. Stir occasionally
  15. Serve hot
