👩‍🍳 How to make Matar Paneer

  1. Heat ghee to 70°C in heavy pan
  2. Add cumin seeds; crackle 10 seconds
  3. Add chopped onion; sauté 4 minutes until translucent
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili; cook 1 minute until fragrant
  5. Add chopped tomato; cook 3 minutes until soft and pulpy
  6. Add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, asafoetida; stir 1 minute
  7. Add water/stock; bring to boil on high heat (2 minutes)
  8. Add peas; simmer on low heat for 8 minutes until peas are cooked through
  9. Gently add paneer cubes; heat through for 2 minutes without boiling
  10. Stir in cream slowly
  11. Taste and adjust salt and spices
  12. Finish with coriander leaves
