👩🍳 How to make Jeera Rice
- Rinse rice under running water until water runs clear; drain thoroughly
- Heat ghee to 60°C in heavy-bottomed pan with tight-fitting lid
- Add cumin seeds; crackle 10 seconds
- Add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves; toast 5 seconds until fragrant
- Add drained rice; stir gently for 1 minute to coat with ghee
- Pour water/stock and add salt
- Bring to boil on high heat (2 minutes), then stir once
- Reduce heat to lowest setting, cover with foil, then place lid on top
- Cook for 12 minutes without opening lid
- Turn off heat; let rice rest covered for 5 minutes
- Fluff gently with fork
- Serve hot
