👩‍🍳 How to make Idli

  1. Soak rice and urad dal separately for 6 hours. Grind separately — urad into very fluffy batter, rice into smooth batter. Mix together, add salt, ferment overnight until doubled.
  2. Pour into greased idli moulds, steam 12–14 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Serve with MP-style sambar and coconut chutney.
