👩‍🍳 How to make Smoked Fish and Coconut Porridge

  1. Rinse rice, add to pot with water (medium-high heat, 180°C).
  2. Bring to boil, reduce to low (150°C), simmer 10 min stirring occasionally.
  3. Heat coconut oil separately (160°C), fry curry leaves (15 sec).
  4. Add onion, cook 1 min.
  5. Add turmeric and chili powder, stir 15 sec.
  6. Add fish flakes, cook 30 sec.
  7. Add grated coconut, remove from heat.
  8. When rice is done (soft, porridge-like), mix in fish-coconut mixture.
  9. Add salt. Visual cue: Creamy porridge, flecked with fish and coconut, balanced aroma.
  10. Serve hot in bowl.
