👩🍳 How to make Smoked Fish and Coconut Porridge
- Rinse rice, add to pot with water (medium-high heat, 180°C).
- Bring to boil, reduce to low (150°C), simmer 10 min stirring occasionally.
- Heat coconut oil separately (160°C), fry curry leaves (15 sec).
- Add onion, cook 1 min.
- Add turmeric and chili powder, stir 15 sec.
- Add fish flakes, cook 30 sec.
- Add grated coconut, remove from heat.
- When rice is done (soft, porridge-like), mix in fish-coconut mixture.
- Add salt. Visual cue: Creamy porridge, flecked with fish and coconut, balanced aroma.
- Serve hot in bowl.
